Typical Day.

I'm going to try this new thing. It's called actually explaining my pictures! I just always think that people will become extremely bored reading my explanations, so i like to leave it up to your imagination. This time though i'll give some captions.

This is our fridge. Items from top shelf left: Strawberry yogurt, apple juice, blueberry yogurt. Bottom shelf from left: Vanilla yogurt, raspberry frou frou (another form of yogurt), more frou frou behind the red one, yogurt butter, peach yogurt, more yogurt butter, and strawberry yogurt!

Got Yogurt?

This is the view of the opera house out the window of our school, the "Amerikainstitute" AAIE for short. To get here everyday, Ale and I leave at about 9:20 ish, ride the bus until we see the Vienna Plaza Hotel, catch either the 1 or the D street car, and get off at the opera house stop. We get there at about 10:00 every day.

After our German quiz in class today, Ale, Kayla, Whitney, Maria, Krystle, and I all decided to go looking for a vintage store that Whitney discovered. This is some graffiti I found along the way.

Coming home from this vintage store, we were about to board the U-bahn when we realized it wasn't coming. We looked around to see police man running around on the other side of the tracks. We still haven't figured out what was wrong, but they closed the U-bahn for about an hour. We came up the stairs to see the building surrounded by police and fire trucks. Don't worry though, the firemen in my picture don't look too concerned. In fact, they were just standing around doing nothing.

Today I made my first trek into an H & M store. Bad idea. I ended up actually buying things!! That in and of itself rarely happens. But it gets better. I don't even want to take it back! Which is generally what happens if i ever buy something. AND I even want to go back and buy the things i put back!! Now that, has never happened! Miracle.

After H&M, Ale and I wandered into this small church right on the main shopping street. I hadn't even noticed it before but it was nice to walk in from the hustle and bustle to complete silence.

My captions are really boring right now, i'm feeling kind of brain dead.

We started walking to dinner, and saw a lot of cool things a long the way.

This man was really interesting to me for some reason. He was sitting there like this for a while on the main shopping street.

We walked by the opera house and stopped to listen for a minute. They show it on a giant screen for people to sit and watch for free right outside.

View looking up while walking down to the U-Bahn.

It's almost like magic, you walk down some stairs, step on a train, walk up some identical looking stairs, emerge from the darkness, and wah-la, the scenery has changed to this!
It was practically dark by the time we got to eat dinner but it was worth the wait. We had pasta carbonara for only 1.50 euros!!! Heaven on earth right there. It was sosososoosooso incredibly good! Favorite dish. I couldn't get a picture because i was too busy eating it.
